• Follow the Heart & Stroke Foundation Guidelines
• Are approved by Workplace Health and Safety
• Meet Certificate of Recognition (COR)
• Are recognized internationally
• Meet the “New” First Aid and CPR Guidelines 2005
• Teach participants how to prevent injuries and avoid risky behavior
• Include a component on the emergency medical services (EMS) system
• All Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/AED) and First Aid components of Canadian Red Cross (CRC) courses are taught in accordance with ILCOR and the ECC Canada
