Your First Aid training helped me save a life yesterday. I was able to help a man who was found collapsed on the ground, cold and disoriented. Even though it had been several months since my training, I remembered everything that you taught me (to the point that I heard your voice in my head!). When I called 911, I knew I had done everything that I could have to help this man. I stayed focused and confident. The ambulance sirens were music to my ears.

I am so grateful to have this training and that you had such a hands on approach with our class. It helped me take charge of the situation.

Thank you so very much for the professional training that you offered our group at Karjohn Contracting Ltd. this past weekend.

I admit, I was rather resentful with the prospect of having to take another First Aid Course. The first course I took four years ago was presented in such a dry and impersonal format that I could not trust myself to remember any of the life saving skills I learned. I cringed through the entire training session and retained very little of the knowledge that was being presented.

However, your outgoing personality was a welcome ray of sunshine not only to myself but to all of us in the group. The feedback from our group has been absolutely fantastic and a true testament to you personally. We have all come away feeling a sense of confidence in our own personal abilities that we will be able to provide help in an emergency situation.  Working directly in the construction industry, this is huge!

Dear Krista,

I wanted to extend a BIG thank you for the First Aid Training that I received. Your course was informative, well-presented and most of all, memorable. Unfortunately, I did have the opportunity to use the skills I had learnt.

My daughter (6 1/2 months at the time) was having a regular snack. One second she was fine, the next second she was choking. In less than 5 seconds, I had her laying on my arm (supporting my arm on my thigh) and was pounding her back, then I flipped her onto her back on the other arm and gave the chest compression’s. If flipped her face down again to pound on her back again and she barfed all over the floor...I have never been so happy to see barf.

So thank you from the bottom of my heart for the training. I don't even want to think about what could have happened if I did not take it.

Hi Krista,

The Emergency First Aid course is perfect for busy moms and their busy babies! Krista offered the course at my house for my moms’ group. We learned rescue breathing and CPR while our babies (6 to 8 months old) played, ate and slept. Krista was an excellent instructor and truly gave us some peace of mind we could ACT in an emergency. And the babies really liked watching the scenario training!

ABCRC is one of the largest recycling companies in Alberta with processing facilities in both Edmonton and Calgary. ABCRC works as the collection agent for Alberta’s over 200 bottle depot operators. Our combined staff in both plants is in the 70 – 80 range.
